by Leo Amadeus Ruiz Hi there, Lei here! While my good friend @theclassypoor is more on travel, food, and photography, I’m the tech and gaming guy in our circle. I try and play new pc… More
When we say that we know someone well, how much do we really know about that person? Knowing someone can be a blessing, but it can also be a curse at times.
Relationships that start without any foretelling signs or motives are always right. However, every person will eventually encounter a “defining” moment and these moments will make them reveal their true colors.Continue reading “When truth finally hits you…”
Don’t be afraid of starting over, of taking your time with someone new. Don’t be afraid of change. Of letting go of the people who keep doing you wrong. Those who keep on giving you stress and who keep on causing depression. Who bring more darkness than light. Who always doubt you. Who always have something bad to say. We don’t need that type of shit in our life.
Laziness, that is how I discovered Metromart online grocery delivery. Saturday noon, I am binge-watching my favorite Korean Drama, I suddenly craved for Cheese Bokki, the Korean fever has really gotten into me. Though SM Aura is just 30 mins away from home, I am hesitant to go out, the reasons: too lazy to get up and change clothes, the usual traffic, the expense for GRAB fare, long lines at the Supermarket, have to carry heavy bags alone. When eating out, It’s more likely that I’ll be choosing warm, colorful and Tuscan inspired over other dead, cold and plain-looking restaurants. So here I am at Nonna’s Pasta and Pizzeria in Solenad, Nuvali.
Nonna is an Italian word for grandmother. Imagine your grandmother serving different dishes and stuffing you with big servings of pasta and pizza. Nonna’s is the hip version of Mama Lou’s. Mama Lou is more like an old school Italian restaurant but both serve gastronomic Italian food. Nonna’s have 3 branches: Nuvali, Ortigas, and Alabang.
Sa Wakas is a musical about a bittersweet love story that starts at the very end: a breakup, that everyone can really relate to. It’s a homegrown musical based on the songs of one of the country’s most beloved rock bands: Sugarfree. Sugarfree was a pop-alternative group that was formed in 1999, disbanded in 2011 but the frontman, Ebe Dancel is now a solo artist. To know more about the show and the artists, visit their site here: Sa Wakas: Musical
Le Petit Soufflé is a restaurant in Century City Mall that offers French/Japanese fusion comfort food. I’ve always been attracted to cafes with a laidback and garden theme. Luckily, this is not just an “instagrammable restaurant”, their food is twice as good as the drool-worthy Instagram photos.
It only takes a few seconds to hurt the people you love and it can take years to heal. If only the word “sorry” can heal the pain. If only it can erase all the bad memories. If only it can undo everything.
This is the 3rd and newest branch of Mitsuyado Sei-men, they have one in Bluebay Walk, Macapagal Ave and the other branch is located in Jupiter St. Belair, Makati City. This restaurant was brought to Manila by the UCC group and started the “dipping noodle” innovation back in 2012.
Our first visit to Bataan was just a day trip, we were supposed to go to Stilts Resort in Batangas but since they were fully booked for April, we opted to go to Bataan instead. Top choices for Bataan resort are Playa La Caleta, Camaya Coast, Westwind Beach Resort and Vista Tala Resort. Playa La Caleta & Westwind Beach Resort were all fully booked for April so we booked at Vista Tala instead. Maybe you’re wondering why Las Casas wasn’t an option. I have seen a lot of bloggers/travelers that have already been to Las Casas so I decided to go somewhere where there were few people so we can fully utilize the amenities.
Café Lupe Restaurant was established in 2003 by Mr. Alvin M. Carranza. The first Café Lupe Restaurant was located along Guadalupe Bridge and within Guadalupe Seminary because the owner is a devotee of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Their menu is a Filipino-Mexican fusion, from tacos, paella, quesadillas to kare-kare.
