Carolyn Robb’s The Royal Touch Cupcakes

Been to the infamous SM Aura lately? You’ll spot a luxurious British cupcake shop at the ground floor, that’s Carolyn Robb, The Royal Touch cupcakes place.

Carolyn Robb, co-founder of The Royal Touch, is the former royal chef who served British royal families for 13 years, including 11 years with Prince Charles, his sons William and Harry, and the late Princess Diana.

How did this shop reach the Philippines? Well, SM Aura is considered as a high-end establishment (as they say) with famous endorsers so think about that. 😀

In an Instagram era like ours, I think for all the cupcake shops out there, aside from the taste & variety of flavors they offer, another requirement is, cutesy & royal-like interiors.

I’ve always been fascinated with chandeliers and wall lamps 😀

They also serve tea and coffee to pair with your cupcakes. Unfortunately I’m so full so I’m not able to try it. A pot of tea costs P100 while their coffee ranges from P150 to P135. Not bad, eh?

So big & comfy that i’d love to lie down 😀

All their cupcakes are priced at P75 each. Not bad for a cake carrying a royal brand. Also, their cupcakes have the enough sweetness + some were served with fruits on top.

I tried the Red Velvet Empress Cupcake, it was nice, moist and the icing have the right balance of cream cheesy-ness. I also love the strawberry half dipped in chocolate (yummy). Krizia had the Lady Blueberry Cupcake with blueberries and crushed almonds, topped with fresh blueberries and buttercream.

One of my dearest friend, shopping, travel & food buddy, my adviser and my mentee, KriziaWe’ll be back to taste more of their cupcakes & coffee (+10 pts for the kind servers)
